--R&B singer Cee Lo Green has sparked outrage among John Lennon fans after changing the lyrics to Lennon's 1971 hit Imagine during a live television performance. Green, who was performing as part of the NBC's New Year's Eve countdown, changed the line "Nothing to kill or die for/and no religion too" to "Nothing to kill or die for/and all religion's true." Lennon fans responded almost immediately, bombarding Green's Twitter page with accusations that "[Cee Lo] sang "Imagine" in a fur coat & expensive jewelry and changed lyric to be pro-religion." and "[he]changed the entire message of the song." Green responded to the controversy by Tweeting "Yo I meant no disrespect by changing the lyric guys ... I was trying to say a world where u could believe what u wanted, that's all." However only minutes later Green deleted the Tweet, as well as all others relating to the performance, and replaced them with simply "Happy New Year Everyone!"

--Legendary soul singer Aretha Franklin has announced her engagement to long time William "Willie" Wilkerson on Monday in a statement. The 69 year-old singer, who has been married twice previously, joked in her press released that "No, I'm not pregnant." Franklin said she and Wilkerson were planning on a spring wedding.

--Indy folk band Bon Iver will be appearing in a fitness DVD to be released in 2012. The band's frontman, Justin Vernon met personal trainer Jeff Rogers while playing a game of basketball at Wisconsin YMCA. Rogers noticed that Vernon was having problems with his back, and offered to help. The whole band eventually began to train with Rogers, and took his workouts with them on the road; now the band will appear as part of Rogers' workout DVD "On The Road," which will also feature at least one of the band's songs. Vernon is featured on Rogers' website saying Rogers helped him "understand his body"

--A former worker for an unnamed London hotel has claimed that pop star Lady Gaga recently left behind a "bathtub full of blood" that she believes the singer used for "bathing in blood as part of a Satanic ritual." The worker claims to have found "large amounts of blood in the suite during a stay this summer," also stating "The incident was reported to the concierge, who told [her] to put it out of her mind." No one from Lady Gaga's camp have responded to the claims.

--Sinead O'Connor has called off her divorce from her husband of three weeks Barry Herridge. Last week O'Connor announced that she was ending her marriage of 18 days due to conflicts with her new husband's family, however the couple have had a change of heart, deciding to seek marriage counseling instead. “We [have] decided to be boyfriend and girlfriend again and stay married, but we did rush [into marriage]." O'Connor also said she and Herridge hope to move in together “in like a year, like regular people.”
